Hello Fellow Bloggers,
I am excited that I had the chance to read The Number of Love by Roseanna White that was released on June 4th. Taking part of The Number of Love Book Tour hosted by Just Reads Publicity Tours was a perfect opportunity for me (first time ever participating in a book blog tour!!) to interact with fellow book lovers but showcase the upcoming YA Novel. I highly recommend adding this to your TBR pile where this novel provides a mix of suspense, mystery, decrypting codes, and romance all set in World War I.

But when her world is turned upside down by an unexpected loss, for the first time in her life numbers aren’t enough. Drake Elton returns wounded from the field, followed by an enemy that just won’t give up. He’s smitten quickly by the too-intelligent Margot, but how to convince a girl who lives entirely in her mind that sometimes life’s answers lie in the heart?Amidst biological warfare, encrypted letters, and a German spy who wants to destroy not just them, but others they love, Margot and Drake will have to work together to save them all from the very secrets that brought them together
Not giving away any spoilers but I loved reading this book. When Just Reads Publicity Tours first announced this for their book blog tour I had to immediately sign up for it. I rarely ever read historical novels but this book is set in World War I that’s filled with mystery, friendship, romance, and decrypting codes. I enjoyed Margot De Wilde in this book. During that period, women have limited jobs but her working not only as a secretary but decrypting intercepted messages is quite impressive. While reading, I can tell she has a close-knitted family where even after her father passes away, they both share a special bond of decrypting intercepted messages even if its just for fun. Her mother Sophia De Wilde (or as Margor calls her “Maman”) is a strong willed woman who shares a close bond with her daughter and just wants what’s best for her. Then we get to meet Drake Elton who is working undercover overseas where in the beginning he meets Margot but does not know her name and can’t shake off the way they looked at each other but soon enough gets her name from a letter his sister Dot wrote to him that included a picture of herself and Margot. Their love story reminds me of the movie Serendipity starting John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale where they meet for the first time but didn’t get the chance to introduce themselves then move forward a few years later, they reconcile and end up falling in love. His sister Dot is what everyone wants in a friend. After she accepts an offer working as a secretary in Room 40, she meets Margot and soon enough they hit it off where they become best friends. Everyone deserves to have a good friend like Dot. This book will sweep you off your feet and can add it to our summer reading list.
